The Stone Age - Education groups
Bringing pre-historic survival skills to life
Spend the day experiencing some of the methods used by Stone Age people for every day survival; use a bow drill to make fire by friction, make charcoal pencils in the fire and do some cave art, use clay to make a lamp and have a go at some archery (you won't need to hunt for your meal though!)
Also, an option is a visit to the dramatic Castlerigg Stone Circle in Keswick to investigate how the stones got there and why there are there?
