Cumbria Outdoors Centres are spectacularly situated on the shores of Derwentwater, the perfect location for your 'outdoor wedding' celebration - and great for photos too!

Our reception hall seats 80 adults and children and overlooks extensive lawns with views of the lake. Hawse End Centre and Cottage sleeps 73 guests in dormitory style accommodation.

Stay with us for 2 or 3 days and make the most of celebrating with family and friends.

At Cumbria Outdoors you have exclusive use of all our indoor and outdoor areas.  We understand that both tastes and costs vary, so we begin by listening to what you want for your wedding celebration.

We hope to help you match your wedding celebrations with your available budget.

Our offer is bespoke, and the overall price will depend on the following elements:

Accommodation required (Hawse End Centre  and possibly include  Hawse End Cottage), duration of stay, any in-house catering and outdoor activities.  If required, you may need to arrange and pay for licences for music and a bar, if not just serving your own drinks. In addition to this there could be additional cost for hire of disco/band, catering, bar, glasses and crockery.

Our team will help, providing prices and signposting to other providers.

At a very basic level, you can opt for hiring the facilities on a complete self-catering basis similar to our Leisure Break hire.  This would not include any input from our staff, and your access to the buildings would be on Leisure Break hire terms and conditions.
