Whether it's a trip into Keswick on the launch from Hawse End, a walk up Catbells or Skiddaw, or some activities with our outdoor leaders - there's plenty to keep everyone busy. Or if sitting reading a book is more your thing, we've got the perfect views for it.  At the end of the day you can all relax in our comfortable lounge areas - a great place to unwind after a hard day in the hills, or for those getting closer to nature from your camping chair overlooking Bassenthwaite at Scarness Campsite!

Self-catering  

Hawse End Centre, Hawse End Cottage and Scarness Campsite all have well-equipped kitchens with all the facilities you need to cater for your own guests. Why not take advantage of local supermarket deliveries to free up car space for your journey. All deliveries can be organised for the day of your arrival with prior arrangement. See our prices for the options for each centre, for a minimum stay of 2 nights. 

Catering options

If you're looking to enjoy your time doing your own thing, whether it be just chilling and looking at the views or maximising your time in the great outdoors, you can leave the cooking to our in-house catering team, we have various options, please get in touch with us to discuss menus of your choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Big house for Big events

Whether it be a milestone birthday, family event or friends get together, we can work with you to get the party started! Ask us about our special packages to help you and your guests celebrate in style at our Hawse End Centre. We offer a fully catered menu including breakfast, lunch and dinner with plenty of room to hire in your own kegs from local breweries on arrangement. The dining room area offers plenty of space to set up a dance floor for your guests to dance the night away…with smaller comfortable areas to relax.
